The senior leadership at Alliant  has been involved in the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program from its earliest days. We believe successful investment in affordable housing requires the hands-on involvement from professionals with extensive commercial real estate experience. Accordingly, Alliant principals personally supervise all aspects of the investment to create a portfolio comprised of unique, diverse property types, various financing platforms, multiple geographic locations and different development types. 

Brian Goldberg is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Alliant Capital, Ltd. Mr. Goldberg began his employment with Alliant in 1997 where his initial responsibility was overseeing the financial affairs of the Company and its affiliates. In January 2010, he received a promotion to his current title. From 1990 to 1997, he was employed as the Chief Financial Officer of a large real estate investment company that developed and managed residential and commercial real estate throughout the United States. From 1985 to 1990, he was employed by Arthur Andersen in the Enterprise Group. Mr. Goldberg received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Denver. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Lisa Minich is the Vice President of Investor Relations. Ms. Minich has over twenty-five years of experience in the real estate industry, with 19 years in the LIHTC industry. She began her employment with Alliant in 2000 as Controller and transferred to Investor Relations in 2005. Prior to joining Alliant, she was employed as Controller of a large homebuilding company and spent seven years with a multinational shopping center development and management group as an Operations Controller. Ms. Minich received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University.

Charles Allen is the Chief Financial Officer at Alliant. Mr. Allen is responsible for the financial affairs of the Company and its affiliates. Mr. Allen first joined Alliant in 2010 as Controller of the solar energy division. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Allen was Managing Director of Alliant Strategic Investments where he was jointly responsible for the acquisition and management of the firm's affordable housing preservation investments. Prior to joining Alliant, Mr. Allen served as Vice President and Controller at Macquarie Bank Ltd. Investment Funds Group responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of $6 billion of investments in hedge funds, fund of funds, and structured investment products. Mr. Allen began his career as an analyst in the real estate division of GE Capital and has nearly 20 years of real estate experience and 8 years of LIHTC experience. Mr. Allen earned his Bachelor degree in business from The George Washington University and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Certified Management Accountant (inactive).

MacyKisilinskyMacy Kisilinsky is a Vice President of Originations at Alliant Capital, and will be responsible for the acquisition of LIHTC properties in the Mid-Atlantic states and Michigan. He has over 20 years of experience in affordable housing and real estate development. Prior to joining Alliant, he gained tax credit expertise working as an originator on public housing finance and RAD transactions, as well as with a housing authority using public housing funds to finance LIHTC transactions. Mr. Kisilinsky has held positions at PNC Bank Tax Credit Capital, National Equity Fund and the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburg. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

DMarkLivingstonD Mark Livingston
 is a Senior Vice President and the Director of Asset Management at Alliant. Mr. Livingston is responsible for the post-syndication investment objectives of all lower-tier partnerships, the oversight of the Asset Management staff, and the Asset Management operations platform. He has over 10 years of extensive experience in the LIHTC industry including acquisitions, asset management, development, and syndication. Previously, Mr. Livingston was the Director of Investor Relations at nationally recognized LIHTC syndicator, responsible for managing the upper-tier legal review process and assisting with proprietary fund and multi-investor fund equity closings. Prior to that, he was an Asset Manager for three industry leading LIHTC syndicators (including Alliant), an Underwriter for the Colorado Housing & Finance Authority, and performed due diligence duties for a nationally recognized LIHTC developer. Mr. Livingston earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Ohio State University, a Master of Science in Taxation from the Golden Gate University Bruce F. Braden School of Taxation, and a Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law. Mr. Livingston is admitted to practice law in the State of Colorado.

Monique Hastings Senior Vice President - Acquisitions. Ms. Hastings is responsible for the management and coordination of the lower tier closing on all Low Income Housing Credit (LIHTC) deals, supervision of Project Managers, Acquisitions Coordinators and Underwriting at Alliant. She has over 20 years of LIHTC experience, including the supervision of asset management and acquisitions for a Fortune 500 direct investor as well as for a smaller syndication company. This includes the acquisition of over 250 properties with approximately $1.5 billion in equity; producing over 20,000 units across the U.S. She also holds several years of experience as a developer, and a few in public accounting. Ms. Hastings earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the states of California and Hawaii.

Dudley Benoit is an Executive Vice President. Mr. Benoit is responsible for the LIHTC production teams of Originations and Investor Relations. Additionally, Mr. Benoit will be responsible for setting and implementing company strategy as a member of Alliant’s Executive Committee. He has over 20 years of experience in the community development and real estate finance fields. Prior to joining Alliant, Mr. Benoit worked at Santander Bank as a Senior Vice President and Director of Community Development Finance. He also held senior management positions at JPMorgan Chase in the commercial real estate multifamily lending, community development banking and the New Markets Tax Credit units. Mr. Benoit is currently a Towsley Foundation Policymaker in Residence at the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. He currently serves on the Board of Reinvestment Fund. A graduate of Rutgers University, Mr. Benoit also holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.

Sharon Goldstein is the Vice President of Investor Relations. Ms. Goldstein has over twenty years of experience in financing and structuring  tax equity transactions, with 15 years in the LIHTC industry. From 2002 to 2006 Ms. Goldstein was a partner in a tax credit acquisition firm and was responsible for its financial affairs and for its day-to-day operations. From 1992 to 2002, Ms. Goldstein was employed by a nationally recognized tax credit syndication firm as its Executive Vice President, where she was responsible for the syndication and finance departments and for raising tax credit equity. From 1989 to 1992, Ms. Goldstein was employed at the Los Angeles accounting firm of Alder, Green & Hasson. Ms. Goldstein is a Certified Public Accountant and received her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.

Hammad Graham is a Vice President of Originations, and is responsible for the acquisition of LIHTC properties in the New York and Northeastern U.S.  Mr. Graham has over a decade of experience across multiple facets of affordable housing development and finance. Prior to joining Alliant, he directed all the development activities for Brisa Builder’s Corp., a Brooklyn-based affordable housing developer.  Mr. Graham previously worked at RBC Capital Markets originating and closing tax credit investments in Massachusetts and New York. He also worked at the NYC Housing Development Corporation, underwriting and closing private activity housing bonds that were used to finance the development of affordable housing units in the five boroughs. Lastly, he was a project manager at Madison Park Development Corporation, a Boston community development corporation. Mr. Graham received a BA in History from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a MBA in Global Management from Babson College.

ShawnVisutsiriShawn Visutsiri is the Senior Vice President of Dispositions and is responsible for managing Alliant's dispositions team. From 2009 through 2012, Mr. Visutsiri worked for a nationally recognized tax credit syndication firm and was responsible for the identification, evaluation and execution of opportunistic capital transactions within a 1,400 property portfolio of LIHTC apartment communities. From 2002 through 2008, Mr. Visutsiri held a variety of senior roles in commercial real estate brokerage, appraisal, development and equity investment. Mr. Visutsiri earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from CSUN and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

JenErixonJennifer Erixon is the Senior Vice President of Originations. Her experience includes more than 18 years of affordable housing finance and development. Jennifer has structured, negotiated and closed more than $1 billion of lower tier LIHTC investments. Prior to joining Alliant, Jennifer served as Senior Vice President, Market Manager in the community lending division of a national bank where she was responsible for originations, closing and portfolio management in a multi-state territory. Previously, she worked for the national non-profit, Mercy Housing, as President of their 6-state Mountain Plains region. At Mercy Housing, she established a National Asset Management platform for it's $2 billion portfolios. Jennifer has held previous leadership roles in underwriting, investor sales and originations for two national LIHTC syndicators. She earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado Denver.

Stacie Nekus is a Senior Vice President, Investor Relations. She is responsible for raising and placing equity investments by institutional and corporate investors in both proprietary and multi-investor funds. Ms. Nekus has been in the real estate industry for over 20 years working in the affordable, investment and industrial sectors. From 2002 to 2011, Ms. Nekus worked for a large nationally recognized tax credit syndication firm. Prior to joining Alliant, Ms. Nekus was the Managing Director of Investor Relations working with a large cross section of investors to syndicate over $1B in equity. She is a highly respected professional in the industry who plays a very active role within the industry and with various organizations. You will find also her participating on equity panels at numerous national and state conferences. Ms. Nekus earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University in Indiana.

Joel Hauenstein is a Vice President of Originations and is responsible for the acquisition of low income tax credit properties in the Midwest. Prior to joining Alliant, Mr. Hauenstein was the Vice President of Acquisitions at a nationally recognized syndication and debt provider for 10 years. Between the years 1990 to 1996, he held various positions with Berkshire Mortgage in the DC area. Mr. Hauenstein received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron.

SurajMistrySuraj Mistry is a Vice President of Originations, and is responsible for the LIHTC acquisition of properties in the Southeastern U.S. He has over 10 years of real estate experience in office, multifamily, retail, hospitality, and LIHTC. Mr. Mistry started at Alliant as a Financial Analyst, where he was tasked with creating complex financial models for new lower tier transactions. He later transitioned to an Asset Manager where he managed a portfolio of 65 LIHTC deals with debt and equity investments of over $750M. He has since been promoted to VP of Originations. Mr. Mistry received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance and Development at the University of Southern California. He received his Master's degree in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University.

Kathleen Balderrama is the General Counsel. She has fourteen years of experience in complex business litigation, including affordable housing, real estate, and securities litigation. Before joining Alliant, Ms. Balderrama practiced at international law firms, Mayer Brown LLP and Crowell & Moring LLP. Ms. Balderrama obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, where she graduated as valedictorian, and her Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University.

Wil Smolen is a Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Alliant, Mr. Smolen was the Senior Vice President of Community Development at a large real estate development company for sixteen years. He was responsible for the daily management of all land development, engineering, entitlement processing, zoning, subdivision, government relations and community liaison work. Prior to that, Mr. Smolen was Senior Project Manager and Director of Motel Construction, involved in the development and construction of approximately 4,000 motel units throughout the western United States. Mr. Smolen has over 23 years of varied experience in the real estate industry. He is a graduate of Purdue University in Civil Engineering, a licensed general building contractor, member and former president of the Residential Purchasing Council of Southern California and currently sits on the Affordable Housing Committees of the City of Los Angeles.
